Amanda Volel joined Poly’s Engagement and Communications Department in 2023. She earned a BA in English Writing from DePauw University and a master’s degree in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. With a background in education, Amanda previously worked in communications and program management with Teachers & Writers Collaborative, as well as a middle school teacher in school and summer program settings. Raised in Queens, NY, just a few short blocks away from a local library, Amanda is a poet who holds her library card dear.
